CONSTIPATION ACCORDING TO AYURVEDA
We have 14 vegas means bodys natural urges that we must not hold.1 among them is the urge to pass motion.
CONSTIPATION is inability to pass motion regularly . YOU have to pass your motion without much strain as soon as you get up from bed or within 2 hrs.YOU must do some regular exercises,surya namaskaram ,pranayama and those exercises to increase your intra abdominal pressure to evacuate motion and for your best health.
New born babies 👶 pass 6-8 times a day..in later stage it is reduced to 1-2 times...Including a lot of fruits,vegetables ,fibre rich food helps in a free and smooth evacuation ...reduce your non veg intake...For ladies and School going kids change in rest room,u.t.i infection ,online class shedule are some of the reasons ...both these categories are not taking enough water that again worsens the whole scenario....increased intake of maida,fast food,chicken and less fibre foods are creating more trouble

CONSTIPATION is a vata condition expressing vata qualities like dryness and hardness.
constipation may create distension and discomfort ,flatulence and pain,headache and bad breath, 😷 and may lead to absorption of toxins from the colon.
Tips to adress the issues of constipation are
- Consume food rich in dietary fibre such as grains ,legumes ,fruit and vegetables
- FRuits such as apples ,bananas ,grapes ,oranges guavas ,figs should be consumed
- follow vata balancing diet use of spices like garlic ,ginger ,turmeric ,cumin,asafoetida ,carrom seeds
- Use ghee with food....a2 ghee can b used so no need to fear about cholestrol
- Avoid intake of dry,jumk foods,fried foods ,processed food ,spicy foods and non vegetarian food must b avoided
- Sip on warm water throughout the day.take water according to your body weight
- consume warm soup or dal soups
- Stay away from cold foods and drinks,dried foods,salads and most beans
Snack on fruit -2 ripe yellow bananas taken between meals ,will help relieve constipation.BUT don’t eat bananas with meals.They don’t combine well with other foods

APPLES are effective both to help regularize the bowels
- Pineapple juice
- Raisins
- Prune
- Peaches
- wheat bran
- oat meal
- MILK and ghee 1-2 tsp of ghee in hot milk is an effective but gentle means of relieving constipation...this is good for vata and pitha type constitution
Prevention
- VATA pacifying diet
- Include a lot of fibre in your diet
- Drink 4-5 glasses of water a day
- GET regular exercise half an hour of jogging ,swimming or other aerobic exercise
